There are so many fun activities to do when you live in California. Especially when there’s so many great places to see the beautiful fall foliage in the fall months. Whether you’re looking for a fun afternoon visiting a new thrift shop or enjoying one of the amazing lakes, you are bound to find something for everyone. But with fall in full force, one of our favorite things to do is stop in at one of the local pumpkin patches in the area.

1) Mountain Valley Ranch Inc

If you’re looking for a day of fun, then you need to look no further than Mountain Valley Ranch Inc. Located in Ramona, California, this farm is a fun day of adventure. Not only can you get the perfect pumpkin when you visit, you can also check out the other amazing activities they have to offer. From the corn maze to the petting zoo and pony rides, there’s something for everyone.

2) Underwood Family Farms

Hosting their 27th annual Fall Harvest Festival, Underwood Family Farms is a great option when trying to find the perfect pumpkin patch. They have a wide variety of things to do, not just picking pumpkins. Don’t miss Farmer Craig’s Chicken Show or the Hay Pyramids. And if you head over on the weekend, be sure to check out the pig races.

3) Greenspot Farms

Located in Mentone, California, Greenspot Farms is the place to be. With a huge selection of pumpkins, coming in all different shapes and size, you are bound to find exactly what you’re looking for.

4) Bates Nut Farm

While known for being a nut farm, that doesn’t mean Bates Nut Farm isn’t a perfect stop during the fall months for finding the best pumpkin. And while you’re here, check out the hay rides, straw maze and even the petting zoo. Be sure to check online for exactly what’s happening on which days.

5) Tanaka Farms

This 30-acre family owned and operated farm is located in Irvine. And Tanaka Farms a great family stop when not only looking for a pumpkin, but having a fun day of adventure. When you visit you can catch a wagon ride, or stop at the u-pick veggie patch. But whatever you do, make sure you check out the pumpkin cannon.
